Management Sciences for Health (MSH) is a nonprofit international health organization with nearly 1,700 staff from more than 60 nations. Together with our partners, we are helping managers, leaders and their teams in health organizations in developing countries to strengthen public health practices and their management and leadership capacity and their organization’s management and governance systems to improve health services for the greatest health impact.
MSH is seeking Indonesian nationals or international candidates residing in Indonesia or abroad for the following proposed positions to support an anticipated project in Indonesia. The anticipated USAID-funded HIV/AIDS prevention and treatment project is expected to introduce evidence-based interventions to prevent or treat illness, strengthen capacity of the health system to deliver quality services, and engage civil society to better understand, value, and promote good health practices.
This position is contingent on funding.
The Communication Specialist will lead the development of communications system and the Ministry of Health’s capacity at the central, provincial and district level ability to communicate effectively with key constituencies through effective communication systems and initiatives.
S / He will ensure the right information goes out for press releases, reviews / facilitates the transmission of statements and announcements to be made by MOPH officials. The candidate will also organize activities that identify supporters and harness their energy to pass on important health messages to the community and ensure information is properly being captured, synthesized and shared at the community and provincial level.
The ideal candidate will possess an advanced degree in communications with experience working in public health or public relations with extensive experience working with public sector institutions and NGOs at various levels in the health sector in Indonesia. The ideal candidate will demonstrate an understanding of quality information systems, with ability to write lucid reports, press release and able to attract media as needed. The candidate will be willing to travel to the provinces, districts and rural areas as needed.
