Management Sciences for Health (MSH) is a nonprofit international health organization with nearly 1,700 staff from more than 60 nations. Our mission is to save lives and improve the health of the world’s poorest and most vulnerable people by closing the gap between knowledge and action in public health. Together with our partners, we are helping managers, leaders and their teams in health organizations in developing countries to strengthen public health practices and their management and leadership capacity and their organization’s management and governance systems to improve health services for the greatest health impact.

MSH is seeking Indonesian nationals or international candidates residing in Indonesia or abroad for the following proposed positions to support an anticipated project in Indonesia. The anticipated USAID-funded HIV/AIDS prevention and treatment project is expected to introduce evidence-based interventions to prevent or treat illness, strengthen capacity of the health system to deliver quality services, and engage civil society to better understand, value, and promote good health practices.

This position is contingent on funding.

The DCoP works in close collaboration with the COP and serves as a member of the Project Executive Management Team and acts on behalf of the COP in his absence.

S/he participates in the determination of partner scopes of work and the negotiation of performance indicators and targets to assure that expectations and required results are fully understood.

S/he works with the COP and M&E staff and Technical cluster leaders to track the progress of performance-based arrangements.

S/he will support the project activities such as the analysis and documentation of project results, impact and compile technical reports. The DCoP will be expected to communicate results and accomplishments to all interested parties and key stakeholders groups. The DCoP will be expected to provide tactical, technical leadership, support supervision and motivation to a team of professionals working under him or her.
The ideal candidate will possess an advanced degree in public health or another health related field, or a combination of education and relevant equivalent experience.

S / He will demonstrate experience working collaboratively with a broad range of government officials, international donors, and private sector stakeholders with significant experience in program management, strategy development, financial management, and institutional capacity building for public and / or private health systems. Practical knowledge of the workings of the Ministry of Health and provincial- and district-level health offices in Indonesia or Southeast Asia is desired. Candidate must have excellent written and oral communications skills, and be fluent in English. Ability to communicate in an Indonesia language is a plus. This position requires travel to remote areas of Indonesia on assignment.
